ForgeDeck is a native Tauri 2 desktop app — a small binary with a Rust backend, not an Electron wrapper.

Download a build

Grab the installer for your platform from the download page:

  • macOS — universal .dmg (Apple Silicon + Intel), Developer ID signed.

  • Windows — .msi or .exe setup.

  • Linux — .AppImage, .deb, or .rpm.

Run from source

git clone https://github.com/alphajew420/forgedeck.git
cd forgedeck
pnpm install
pnpm dev

Building the desktop app compiles the Rust backend, so you need a Rust toolchain (rustup/cargo) plus Node and pnpm 9. The workspace tests and typecheck run on Node alone (pnpm test, pnpm typecheck).

Updates

Released builds are Tauri-signed and auto-update from the ForgeDeck cloud — when a new version is published you're prompted to install it on next launch. Nothing is downloaded or applied without a valid signature.
