Apps & Plugins
Author ForgeDeck apps (plugins) and publish them to the marketplace.
A ForgeDeck app is a plugin: a small git repo that adds reusable prompt packs, command templates, and optionally a sandboxed entry script. Apps are discovered and installed from the in-app Marketplace.
Install an app
In ForgeDeck, open Marketplace → Browse:
Apps from the registry show as cards — click Install (runs
git clone).Or paste any plugin repo URL into Install from git URL.
The default registry lives at github.com/alphajew420/forgedeck-plugins. Bundled examples: Standup Summarizer and PR Reviewer Pack.
Build one
A plugin is a directory with a manifest at its root:
// forgedeck.plugin.json
{
"id": "standup-summarizer",
"name": "Standup Summarizer",
"version": "0.1.0",
"description": "Turn the day's agent activity into a standup update.",
"author": "you",
"tags": ["productivity"],
"entry": "entry.js", // optional sandboxed runtime
"promptPacks": ["prompts/standup.md"],
"commands": [{ "id": "summarize-day", "title": "Summarize today" }]
}The optional entry script runs in a locked-down sandbox (no filesystem, network, or Node globals). For anything that touches tasks, terminals, memory, or git, call the REST API with @forgedeck/sdk — the process boundary is the security boundary.
Full reference, host API, and a catalog of good apps to build are in the authoring guide.
